Sweet Pea 'April in Paris'
This Sweet Pea is the first one that I grew that got me hooked on growing these gorgeous flowers. I have grown this vairiety for several years now. The flowers are so so fragrant and are the prettiest cream with a periwinkle edge. I cut them very long for florists so there are tendrils and flowers included in their design work.
Fall sow and plant for overwintering in warm climates. In L.A. I sow Sweet Pea seeds starting in September and October. I then sow more throughout the winter and into early Spring. They bloom for me May through June and go to seed late June and early July.
My friend Hannah of Golden Heron grew tons of April in Paris this past season and let me come and harvest hundreds of seeds from her plants as they faded away once the heat hit. The pictures are all from her harvests this season! No pesticides ever used and grown with lots of care on an L.A. urban flower farm.
Approximately 20 seeds per pack.
All parts of the Sweet Pea plant and seeds are poisonous.
