Apache Plume

$5.00
sold out

One of the new native seeds that I am providing. These seeds were harvested in June from a gorgeous bush at Golden Heron’s Flower Farm. I haven’t grown this plant from seed but Hannah has used it as a cut flower and it is glorious so I am adding it for all of you to see if you want to try and grow from seed.

Tips from the inter-webs…. chill seeds for 3 months before sowing in the early spring. I would try this and also try direct sowing late summer/early fall and see if any come up after winter. What a fun experiment!

The flowers are a small sweet white bloom that attracts pollinators. Then these fabulous soft pink feathery seeds form. They look almost like spiny starfish.

Approximately 50 seeds per pack.
